PHP-GTK Community : a community site for PHP-GTK

The VIES client allows querying of the EU VAT database system to check the validity of VAT numbers. This is a fairly essential function to businesses within the EU, and avoids having to use the standard browser-based service, by relying on SOAP RPC, which allows access from within any application

The application can be used standalone, but is is mainly intended as an example of how to include SOAP services within PHP-GTK2 applications.

To this end, the application page describes in full detail how it is built, from adding the SOAP extension to laying out the UI.
