Many web-developers complain about switching to desktop applications simply because they are built using Java or C# language. PHP, they say, is one of the most professional and widely supported web programming languages and is cross-platform, so why give that up for Java or C#? For those who learned application development on PHP or those who have made PHP their primary development tool, the idea of ditching PHP for something else may seem daunting or time-consuming. For companies, switching to another language can require reallocating resources, creation of projects from scratch, compilation of source-code after each editing, training of employees, or hiring of new employees. Whatever the case, leaving PHP for another language can be costly and time-consuming.
Objective of this project is to create a framework that supports cross-platform application development with the power of PHP and GTK. We will use an already existing PHP framework to reduce development time and provide a good set of features.
