PHP-GTK Community : a community site for PHP-GTK

We the merry wizards and mistress (merry as well) from IRC have been just buzzing the past few days with ideas of putting together a PHP-GTK team for the phpthrowdown. This is basically a competition where a team builds the best application they can in a 24 hour period fitting a category defined by the challenge. It is then submitted and judged by suits in the PHP community. Word is there are some decent prizes being put together for this.

After a few cups of tea the idea of putting several teams together so that we could have some competition within the ranks came about. Without any word on what the categories are for certain, there is still the Miscellaneous category. So either way by category or Miscellaneousness we can get some good stuff in and you will not have to see me cry.

If you are interested in participating, Jace put together a quick sign up form you should mark yourself down on. This way we know how many people we have and how many teams we could build to represent the PHP-GTK community.
